I also encountered this issue.
when I entered MySQL preference pane, the below messages will be written out the error log file of the mysql.

2015-05-23T01:30:51.329111Z 154 [Note] Access denied for user 'XXXX'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

when i closed the window which MySQL preference pane, the error will disappear.
