Hi there folks.
I'm having the same trouble, except for the fact that I can't run the server in --skip-xxx-tables (I forget what the xxx is :P)!!!

It will -only- start normally, even in the cmd prompt, it says it starts - but then it dosn't.

And my root password? I know what it is, but sometimes it works, and sometimes it dosn't.

Heeeeeeeeeelp!
