There are multiple versions of InnoDB engine, which produces different format .ibd files.
AFAIK there is no editor, other than MySQL server, to read .ibd files.
That's why when you asked about an editor to read .ibd files I suggested you use MySQL server and take a proper backup.
I'm sorry if you don't like the answer, but please, don't shoot the messenger.
