Testing with libmysqlclient.so.18 from mysql-5.5.51-solaris11-x86_64 it seems to work.

A quick test is to look for yassl symbols in libmysqlclient.so.18; something like:

$ nm mysql-5.5.51-solaris11-x86_64/lib/libmysqlclient.so.18 | grep -i yassl
