Hey folks,

So I had a previous version of MySQL 5.0. Couldn't get the service to install and a load of problems.

I tried to uninstall everything as best I could.
I manually removed the service using the command sc delete mysql. That was first.

Then I totally zapped the locations below. After which I reinstalled. Then worked.

In the my.ini
#Path to installation directory. All paths are usually resolved relative to this.
basedir="C:/Program Files/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.1/"

#Path to the database root
datadir="C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.1/Data/"

Thanks,

Delton
