Most of my applications i develop i use a local instance of mysql running to test my applications, but have been unable to find a way to enable the archive storage engine on windows. On the archive storage engine they talk about adding a configuration option but does this mean i have to compile my own version of mysql to run on windows if i want to utilize the Archive Engine on my windows dev machine? How can i activate it on a windows environment otherwise?
