Hi all,
For the impatient: yes we are working on the MySQL Workbench :-)
However we have many other tasks and not unlimited man power. It was planned to have an early alpha version of WB out this very month but due to some difficulties we cannot hold that date. I can promise you will soon see the first alpha of WB but it will take a while until it can really be used for DB design.
I know this is not really satisfying but I promise MySQL WB will be worth waiting.
