Re: mac os x client library 5.0.27 is not shared and cause incompatibles

Thanks for the help! The bug-article is exactly the same problem I have. PHP 5.2 extensions curl, openssl and kerbos cannot build with pre-built MySQL client library.

As far as I know, Mac OS system comes with OpenSSL library; even if not headers are in /usr's directory, the library is there. I don't know any formal statements about this, but OpenSSL's presence on Mac OS X is mentioned in an article in StepWise (the article), a Nextstep or Mac OS programming journal, sometimes with Apple developers as editors. Perhaps MySQL client library could make use of existing -lcrypto, too?
