I evaluated the TOAD Data Modeler, but what was a deal breaker for me is that it does not currently support 'alter scripts' for MySQL, only for Oracle. After going through the process of reverse engineering, I was hoping to be able to make changes and then forward engineer them into my existing DB. They are planning on adding this support 'sometime in the future'. Other functionality seemed to be OK.
