physical bytes
If there is a column with data type varchar (10) so that max 10 characters can be stored in this column so it will take 11 bytes.
If there are many records with only 2 characters in that column.. then would it be taking 3 bytes in physical storage or its taking 11 bytes.
If it takes 11 bytes then what's the best practice to save the disk space?
