Once a second? Trivial.
100 times a second? Still trivial
1000 rows per second? Now it gets interesting. Still, either engine can handle it.

My point is, for virtually any application, either engine will do. If you have an extreme application, please elaborate so we can help you.

Meanwhile, just pick InnoDB.
Specify a PRIMARY KEY for every table, even if it is
id INT UNSIGNE NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT
