Stop right there. The people table identifies and documents people.

The cars table identifies and documents cars.

A peoples_cars table identifies peoples' cars---each row documenting one person and one car. It's called a "bridge" table, implementing a many-many relation between cars & people.

A makers table identifies makers.

A carmakers documents car makers, it's another many-many bridge.
