Has Sun/MySQL re-considered adding a true GUID type (not the binary(16) in the MySQL provider work around) to be compatible with other current databases? Microsoft and others are using GUIDs in data designs even more today. How can anyone even think about migrating from MSSQL and other major databases without having to consider to change their data types since GUIDS are not TRUELY supported?
