MySQL Forums :: MySQL Proxy :: Unable to use pre-compile mysql-proxy on Redhat 4

Hi,

I downloaded the pre-compiled mysql-proxy for RH4 and initialized things according to the wiki. When I tried to run mysql-proxy, it reported:

[root@ssss208-057 ~]# service mysql-proxy start
Starting mysql-proxy: 2009-11-10 16:07:58: (critical) chassis.c:981: could not raise RLIMIT_NOFILE to 8192, Invalid argument (22). Current limit still 34359739392.

How to solve this problem? I searched in Google, only find one entry, but it is not related to my problem.
