I am trying to set up an instance for connection in Server Administration and in Open Connectiontostart Querying
New Connection 1 list user as root Host: 127.0.0.0:3306 and Server Administration has instance as Instance01 Local Type Windows.
When I finished making the settings for the instance I printed out
Settings in the instance:
MySQL Connection: New Connection 1 (User: root Host:127.0.0.1:3306)
SSH based administration: No
SSH host: localhost:22
SSH user:
SSH key file:
Instance template: Windows (MySQL 5.1 Installer Package)
Path to configuration file: C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\my.ini
Section in configuration file: mysqld
MySQL management
Start MySQL: sc start mysql
Stop MySQL: sc start mysql
Check status: sc query mysql | findstr RUNNING
Use sudo: Yes
What else do I have to set? Root is a funny name. Is there some other name I am supposed to be using? If root is the user name, where do I use it?
