Michael,

there is not really a need to build a 64 bit version of Workbench. You will not gain much speed or anything if it were 64 bit, and it doesn't need so much RAM that 64 bit addressing would be necessary. Hence we do not offer a 64 bit Windows version. I don't know so much about Fedora etc. so there might be a system relevant reason for providing a 64 bit release, but from a pure technical standpoint even there you would not lose much if you would work with a 32 bit version instead.
