Hey Jasmine,

what does your log file say ( ~/.mysql/workbench/log/wb.log)? Any obvious problem listed there? If there's nothing obvious you could try removing/renaming the user data folder entirely ( ~/.mysql/workbench/), so WB has a fresh start.
