Object Browser Not Displaying Database Tables

Hi

Just installed Workbench 5.2.47 CE on Windows 7 running 5.5.28 MySQL Community Server (GPL) as a service.

Object browser displays all the schema but on clicking the arrowhead by a schema name the drop down list reads:

Tables fetching...
Views fetching...
Routines fetching...

then stops.

The query editor works fine, just this problem with the object browser.

Any advice gratefully received
