I wouldn't say you're 'screwed', you can downlaod the previously available 5.2.47 GA build again (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/tools/workbench/5.2.html#downloads) and replace the 6.0 installed version on your computer. I had to do the same thing as the 6.0.7 build I installed encountered the same problem with the missing 'libmysqlclient.18.dylib' library.
