table shows up on phpmyadmin (WAMP) but not on workbench?

I thought I only needed to put the username, the port and the host name in the config file of WAMP in order to integrate workbench with WAMP, but it doesn't work. When I create a table with a php script, the table only shows up on phpmyadmin.
