5.2 works out of the box because we bundled the VC runtime DLLs with it (at least in older builds of it). Newer versions do not contain the runtime anymore because we are not allowed to do this bundling. If 5.2 works for you and 6.0 does not then I'd say even you think you did you still have not the correct runtime installed. I don't know any other reason. You can also look in the Windows error log to see if that mentiones the missing DLL still.
