Re: workbench cannot connect to DB server (but phpMyAdmin can)

The problem was due to several error in configuration files in different installation of mySQL: I first installed lampp and then I installed also mysql.

New I have reinsalled lubuntu from scratch, then just mysql and now everything seem to work correctly.
