MySQL Workbench 6.1 crashes on Windows 7 64 bit

Hello

I have installed MySQL Workbench 6.1 on two different Windows 7 64 bit PCs, each with 8Gb memory and good processors.

But I am finding that Workbench frequently crashes when running simple queries involving no more than two or three tables. I should add that my database has several thousand tables but that this has never happened before, and that Query Browser works fine.

MySQL generated the following just now when it failed again:

What is going wrong?

My MYSQL server version on both PCs is 5.5.

Thanks
