Database migration from 3.23 to 5.6.20 using WorkBench

Hello All,

Having some trouble migrating a MySQL database from a server running 3.23 to a server running 5.6.20. I am using (or trying to use) the MySQL Work-Bench migration wizard. I am failing at the first hurdle in making a work-bench connection to the 3.23 server. I get the pre4.1.1 connection refused (client option 'secure_auth' enabled) error. A large part of the problem is that I am not 100% sure what I am doing with the connection/MySQL/Linux (centos7) environment. I have both servers running as VM's and they can ping/see each other and copy files etc. Old server is RedHat linux 9 (shrike) & MySQL 3.23, the other server is CentOS 7 & MySQL 5.6.2 with WorkBench. Any help on the MySQL database migration from 3.23 to 5.6.20 is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
