Help Please

I just downloaded the new version of workbench. Its a lot different than the one I am used to using. Used to be very simple to add a table, but now all I get is a screen with a table name and no way to add columns. I have a column tab, but everything is greyed out and no place to add anything.
Are there any documents on the new workbench to help get me started, everything I have been able to find is on the old version.
