MySQL Workbench stops responding
Starting today, I have had big problems with MySQL Workbench.
Every so often when I return to the window the application stops responding. After a couple of minutes, a large window, entirely white but seeming to belong to the MySQL Workbench, is opened and positions itself on top of all other application windows, even that of the Windows Task Manager. After another couple of minutes MySQL Workbench goes back to normal.
While the application freezes, it uses a lot of CPU (~30% on my machine).
I have tried repairing the application but did not experience any improvement.
My machine is a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1 Pro. 8 GB RAM, Intel i7 CPU.
MySQL Workbench version 6.2.4.12437 build 2426.
Note that I have never had this problem before today.
I rely on MySQL Workbench for many daily tasks so any suggestions on how to overcome these problems are greatly appreciated.
