User accounts problem in Administrator

Hi, in Mysql Administrator- User Administration, I am no longer able to select any of the users in the list on the lower left side in order to make any changes to privileges etc.

If I left click on a user, the box on the right still says "no user selected", if I right click on a user I do not get the option to clone or delete the user, or to add or remove host from which the user can connect. I can create a new user but then cannot select it to make any changes. What can I do? Can I restore the original settings?

I did not create the database but just use Mysql Admin to backup and restore and this happened when I tried to add an additional user to the network sharing this database.
