Andrew, yes, the server seems to be down, but your log doesn't seem to indicate a WB crash. Instead you just have the normal handling if the server connection could not be established. What server did you install and how? Did you correctly set up the connection (e.g. the start/stop scripts in the "System Profile" section of the connection editor)? WB tries to use certain defaults, but may fail.

The configuration files is not imporant here. On OSX the server comes with none and uses certain defaults (of which one is the wrong port for the latest server, did you install the latest one?).
