Mike,
Thanks for your response. I understand your point about lack of discussion of Workbench issues on OSX, however it doesn't square with the experience of my team. I cannot persuade them to use it given the number of crashes - they just go and use something else.
For example, here are 3 bugs that together make it very difficult to put up with:

https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=78560 (deletes wrong rows)

These are all verified as issues and together cover many tasks that a user will do every day.
