I don't know cleardb, but if it's a MySQL server 5.1+ you can manage it with MySQL Workbench, including backups. In the community version of WB you can use the normal dump and restore feature (which is using mysqldump behind the scenes). In the commercial edition there's also support for MEB (MySQL Enterprise Backup), which allows to schedule backups and more.
