Re: more libmysql.dll woes! STILL!

6 months later, and I'm finding the same problem with current (but not bleeding edge) versions of WAMP. But this is the most on-topic info I can find. Any news on it?

I'm further ahead, but all my php scripts are acting broken, with partial and corrupted displays, and Apache giving errors as mentioned above. I suspect a problem with my MySQL install, but I don't know what.

- "will the fix mentioned above also fix this issue?"

None of the suggestions here have actually solved the 'issue mentioned above' for me, so I'd be cautious in trying them for your problem. Some of them change my symptoms, but errors persist.

- "I was told that applications that run mysql have problems with multiple users trying to access remotelty."

I hate to say it, but my experience of W2k-AMP has been that yes, regardless of the above issue, it's a struggle to manage even a light load of multiple users accessing multiple databases. That's by comparison to a server-specific OS. I serve only the web, so I don't know much about private network issues.

Sorry to give only negative replies. I never heard anyone recommend Win 2000 for serving. But it's as far as my knowledge and budget go for now.

Me: Win 2000 pro with latest Apache 2.0.x, MySQL Community 5.0.x and PHP 5.2.x

Thanks.
