Installation error "object already exists"
I uninstalled a previous installation of MySQL on my computer and encountered an error installing again. I'm trying to install mysql-5.6.20-win32.msi on an HP system with Windows Vista Home Premium sp2. After starting the install I get a dialog error with the message "object already exists" and an ok button. Once I click the ok button the installation stops. The main installation window indicates that it is "updating component registration" when the error is displayed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
