I think the bug may be related to the Windows Server Build numbering.
The installer explicitly says the it requires Windows 7 or newer. Windows 7 has windows build nr 6.1.7600.
Windows Server 2008 SP2 (on which the bug appears) however has build nr 6.0.6002
I suspect the installer just compares the build nrs and thinks the Windows Server 2008 SP2 build is simply not 'recent' enough, as its obviously a nr _below_ the Windows 7 one.
But maybe the build nr requirement is too strict here?
