Hello Johann, thanks for writing in our forums.

For what I could get from your post it seems you have problems to start the Windows service for a MySQL Server.

That should start automatically after it is installed regardless of what tools you install along with it (Workbench, Notifier, etc).

If it did not started you may want to check the log at:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.X\Data\MachineName-slow.log
(where X could be 5 or 6 or 7)
