Re: Failed connection to Mysql for Excel
Hi Javier
In response to your queries:
"As I understand this, you have already created a connection in MySQL Workbench that works, and that is "Local instance wampmysqld64", and that connection is shown within MySQL for Excel." Your understanding is correct.
"If instead of editing and testing the connection, you double-click it, what happens?"
Double clicking on the connection has the same effect as test connection - the mouse pointer stays in the waiting state.
I have also tried to open and test a remote connection on my machine. Again the effect is the same in Mysql for Excel - cursor stays in the waiting position. I can however open and test the same connection successfully with the same parameters in Mysql Workbench.
I also downloaded XAMP this morning and I also have the same issues I had with WAMP - cursor stays in waiting position and I cannot open or test the connection.
Please advise
Thanks again
