Restricting User access to elements of Plugin

Hi All,

Complete newbie to the MySQL for Excel plugin here so apologies if this is impossible or extremely basic. We are looking to implement the plugin for front-end users in order to allow them to easily produce reports from our databases.

I am however slightly concerned with allowing front end users with little to no knowledge of database structure/functionality/importance access as the "Edit MySQL Data" option could easily allow users to effectively destroy our databases through sheer ignorance.

I was just wondering if there was any way to limit a users access; ideally we would only be allowing users access to views that we had previously written for them, alternately the ability to simply restrict access to the "Edit MySQL Data" option would be acceptable.

If anyone could advise whether this is possible, and if so how to implement it I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks!
