Mysql for Excel 2016 on OS-X

I would like to use excel 2016 on os-x to transfer excel data from worksheets to mysql tables. This is very easy to do on a windows machine with mysql for excel, but I am having difficulties following the guidelines given in http://blog.mclaughlinsoftware.com/microsoft-excel/excel-2011-mysql-config/

Somebody please update those guidelines for excel 2016 on os-x.
