Connecting MySql Workbench via SSL works but connecting with MySQL for Excel does not

Hi, I've just starting using MySql Workbench and MySQL for Excel on my Pc.

Connecting MySql Workbench via SSL worked fine but connecting from same Pc with Excel does not. The profiles are synced and identical, but when opening the profile in MySQL for Excel I get an error "Connection error Failed to connect MySQL Server instance at localhost:3306 with user root and the given password."

Why is connection with Workbench different to a MySql for Excel connection?
