Hi Richard,
Thanks for writing in our forums!
What version of MySQL Notifier are you using?? I believe this has been fixed in the latest version which is 1.1.5.

Also I believe this error is caused by MySQL Server services that were erroneously left on removal of MySQL Server (meaning the service is listed in the Windows Services but the service does not work/run at all). Please check if the suggestions by Javier Rivera in the following post help:
