Thanks for that.

I really need some help on setting up mysql on windows xp.
With the little knowledge I have I am not really up to learning about partitioning at present, it is descibed as RISKY BUSINESS! at http://www.aboutdebian.com/dualboot.htm and I am only looking for the simplest installation possible.

Mike Hillyer suggested I download 4.1.8a which I have done.I am spending time trying to understand how to install it. I have unpacked the files but from there I am stuck.

Lot to learn any help is appreciated.
