Help Setting up MySQL ODBC Driver for Cystal Reports
I am very new to MySQL and Crystal Reports, and I am having difficulty setting up the MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver to use with Crystal Reports. The problem that I am having is, the MySQL server that I am using is currently housed on a separate server, so I am required to log into the server before I log into MySQL. When I attempt to setup the data source, there does not seem to be any area to enter login prompts before logging into MySQL. Here are the steps that I use currently to login into MySQL:
-Telnet to the server
-Login to the server with my user id and password
-Enter the command mysql -u username -p
-Then I am prompted for the password
-Specify the schema by the Use command
It seems that I can only enter the server, username, password, and database, when setting up the data source, so the connection always fails.
Is there anyway to address this, or is this not possible?
Thank you!
