enhanced logging

Hi there,

I won't go into details, but "somehow" the need arose to log activities on the database level, sorta like the update- or binary log, but including information about who made that change. I did not find any information on how to do that in the documentation, but I reckon that we can't be the only ones wanting such a thing, so maybe someone has already solved this. I would be most grateful for any help on this issue. Btw. we're using mysql 3.23.49 and 4.0.20.
