repeated table crash on foo.MYI after upgrade to 4.1.9

Ever sense i upgraded from 3.23.58 to 4.1.9 i've been getting this error on my forum posts table.
Script: /home/foofolder/web/forum/foo.php
Line#: 336
SQL Error: Can't open file: 'foo_Posts.MYI' (errno: 145)
SQL Error #: 1016
it's been happening several times a day now. a simple 'repair table foo_Posts' fixes it up but who wants to do that everyday.
any suggestions out there?
