Can't connect to MySQL server on hostname (4)
We've been getting "Can't connect to MySQL server on hostname (4)" error messages every now again in production.
hostname is our master database server and it's our front end web servers which are throwing this error. As far as I can tell there's no errors on the master db, no firewalls between the machines and they're all running on a local 100Mbit switch.
Can anyone suggest how I can track down the cause of this problem or should I just ignore it? I'm not sure how much it's disrupting web pages or if any data is being lost.
