I checked the logs yesterday and there were no errors for the past several days?

Not sure if this was the problem but I typed "restart" when trying to start the server yesterday and also tried to start it with Workbench and by rebooting.

It started this morning "/etc/init.d/mysql start"? The raid array where the mysql folder is located is software raid - not sure if this could be related?
