I did some research that mention deleting an entry in the mysql.proxies_priv; table for the user root@chuck for example (since my error is root@chuck' ignored in --skip-name-resolve mode. Does anyone know what would have populated that entry and what what problems I may have if it is deleted please? The other alternative is not to start in --skip-name-resolve mode.

Any suggestions or information would be helpful.
