can mysql5.5 binary log execute in mysql5.7?

hi,all
i want to upgrade mysql5.5 to 5.7 ,i plan to import yesterday full backup into mysql5.7 ,and then execute one day mysql5.5 binary logs on 5.7,but i wonder if the mysql5.7 can read the old format binary logs properly,any one can help
