Hello

My Mysql database is on a 64 bit operating system which is a Debian Lenny and I uses default settings I uses also MiIsam storage engine. I am confusing about the limit that Myisam has on the tables size, I read that for 32 operating system it is limited to 4Gb I ask if this issue is solved once we use a 64 bit operating system ? or should I setup the global variable myisam_data_pointer_size in my.cnf to a value to increase the table capacity ? if yes which is the value to set to this variable to have a table size up to 20 Gb ?

Thank you and hop to find an answer.
