Relocating the Entire Data Directory (Windows)
Using MySQL v 5.0.16 for Windows, installed on a server using Windows 2003.
All databases storage engines are myIsam.
We have tried to relocate a database db_1, by moving the database directory to a new position and creating a db_1.sym file on the data directory containing the path to the new position, restarting the server. However the db_1 database is not found. All the other databases works normal in their normal posistions as subdirectories of the \data catalog.
