You did not write, how you retrieve the "Auto Inc ID". So I can only point you to the manual.
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/example-auto-increment.html The first paragraph tells possible ways to retrieve the last auto increment value of a session. Maybe it is this what you asked for.
Regarding the Blackhole engine, I did never get the idea what it might be useful for. Sorry that I can't help you with this. Also, I'm not a replication specialist. You might want to ask in the Replication forum.
